Karkat, Sollux and Terezi are a shitty jazz band only barely scraping by and they’re constantly being stopped by the police because they think they’re toting shotguns in their music cases and they’re always like FOR GOD’S SAKE WE ARE A LEGIT BAND LOOK HERE IS MY VIOLIN and it keeps happening until they’re like fuck it let’s just become gangsters
So they make a gang and then Rose Roxy Jade and Jane are like fuck this we are making a gang so they do and it’s 543543% more fabulous than all the other gangs and they deal liquor and stuff that’s hard to get hold of n shit idk
They asked if Kanaya wanted to join but she declined but stayed on as their tailor and occasionally when they need a hand she rocks up with her chainsaw and she has kind of adopted the gang as her own and she pretends it’s a chore organising them and fixing their clothes and passing on messages but really she loves it and cares for them very much
But when the jazz band and the girls make their gangs they don’t tell people about it obviously so they keep hearing about the other gang on the wireless and they’re like omg this other gang sounds formidable and then they run into each other on a heist or whatever and they’re like wait the other gang is YOU GUYS???!
